                ... Finished Glass Etching is a manifestation of model making logistics and  principles applied. And I will be applying those principles toward a School and Museum for the preparation and practice of etched  cut glass.

               This is my small but sure press release announcing same. Speaking metaphorically,  I'm using my railroad as a conveyance and communication device to deliver the knowledge of... The very first and only glass etching school of its kind, and it will be called... 

the University of Glass Etch Practice by Robb Rich

                Glass Etch Practice is a craft and art form very few succeed at, for the lack of Zen, and practice, so there's going to be no illusions  about what we're talking about here. As a teacher of this craft my role will be  that of the three ring schoolmaster. This is not a craft that suffers fools gladly like a cheap toy. Any kind of glass can be a very dangerous material... even when it is beautiful.

                 It is an art born of a craft that demands having the requirements of many other crafts.

 Herein many misunderstandings exist about this craft when wanton ignorance is manifested and tolerated.

                 Sometimes people ask me... where is the University of Glass Etch Practice located?

...and I simply tell them  "Wherever I'm Standing"

                If you are a writer, and in that writing you have a respectable readership who are ever curious when introduced to the intrigues of that every day thing we call Glass, and you wish to write about it. You can call for an interview. There will be lots of good story to inspire future and existing artists in your community of readers.

                And also help me get the word out that this very unusual school opportunity exists for future glass cutters and students of the etch.

                If you wish to be a student of the etch, and you are sincere about these intentions then listen to what I have to say.  You must study my photography which will take you some considerable time and patience.  In the future the same photography will be used as a teaching device. The content on my website format should give you plenty of areas to explore in this craft of art.

                The above press... should impress upon the reader that one is witnessing the documentation of 45 years of news worthy  innovation. This should be a very serious consideration when choosing a teacher of this craft. All these years in research and development still renders me as a student of the etch and many other things, and I will be for the rest of my life.
